We would like to share our experience of building our dream home with Shane and his Tangara Constructions Team.  My wife and I had always dreamed of building our own home, so that we could have exactly what we wanted.  Like most people who build first time, all we heard were horror stories and all the reasons why not to build.  Then we were introduced by a mutual friend to Shane Dennien, owner of Tangara Constructions.  

We had already spoken to two other builders and had become despondent with the lack of flexibility, and their resistance to build anything other than their set designs.   However, these feelings were dispelled after our first meeting with Shane.  His ability to listen to what we wanted, to advise us in layman terms that we could understand was second to none.  Shane guided us through every stage from initial consultation, to design, the building process and right through to hand over.  We knew exactly what the build was going to cost us, and he was always willing to discuss any changes we wanted to make.

Probably the most impressive aspect of working with Shane, was that he was constantly contactable and if we needed a site meeting, he always made himself available.  All of these points made the building experience seamless and one that we certainly don’t regret.  The result being that we are now happily settled in our dream home that Shane and his team of amazing tradesmen finished for us bang on schedule, and to an extremely high standard with beautiful finishes throughout.

The highest compliment we can pay Shane is that we have had endless inquiries from passers by asking who our builder was and complementing us on the house.

I engaged Mr Shane Dennien from Tangara Constructions to undertake the build and delivery of 5 Luxury Townhouses in Mount Gravatt (QLD) with end value of $3.25m. Mr Shane is easy to work with, an experienced professional and hands on. Our experience with Shane from Tangara Constructions was fantastic and we are thrilled with the finished product. Shane uses the old principles of building that trust is a key point to any process. Shane’s ability to translate builder’s terms into lay person’s language is a valuable asset to have! Shane would not just say anything and expect us to understand, he would make sure that Donna and I both understood exactly what was being discussed before continuing on.  This easy communication helped turn a house into our home.

What builder would meet a potential client at a proposed piece of land, to discuss building options, before they were considering purchasing it.  When Donna rang Shane he requested to meet her at our block to see if he thought it was possible to build a home on it.  Shane would always go out of his way to accommodate us as we both worked. Meetings were quite often scheduled at night and on weekends.

Attention to detail was what Shane made sure was evident throughout the entire building process.  He made sure that no imperfection was left overlooked, no matter what it was.  He would have it fixed as soon as it was noticed. He regularly rang us with the building progress, to keep us in the loop, which was brilliant as we would keep each other updated as to possible problems or any changes that we required.

We would not hesitate to use Shane from Tangara Constructions again and would recommend him to anyone.  Shane gave us a stress free building experience that has given us not just a house but a warm home to live in!!

We recently had our new build completed by Shane and his team from Tangara Constructions. Of several builders we met with, Shane was the only one who took the time initially to talk us through the building process, answer questions and provide constructive feedback on our plans. Shane’s personable and genuine nature, along with his commitment to using sustainable products was a big plus for us.

Throughout the build, Shane kept us informed with timely updates on progress and was extremely vigilant with scheduling and budgeting, resulting in our home being finished on time and within budget. Despite the considerable amount of driving from his home to site, Shane was also very hands on during the build! For first time ‘home builders’ such as ourselves, this, as well as the knowledge passed on to us was very reassuring. The high quality workmanship and professionalism of Shane’s carpenters and other tradesmen has resulted in a quality, value-for-money house which we are proud to call home.

During our dealings with Shane, he consistently demonstrated integrity, not something often said about builders (!) and we highly recommend engaging Tangara Constructions to complete your renovation or new build.
